The KL Cup is an international youth football tournament and targets competitive junior teams from across the region. The Cup aims to improve the opportunities for high-quality inter-club football in Southeast Asia.

This year the KL Cup welcomed 108 teams from five countries, just under 1,000 players, and recorded 1,012 goals in 480 matches.
AGS Malaysia provided large canopies at both venues to assist and provide shade at the registration and in results areas, as well as smaller tents to provide shade to players and parents at Ardence Arena.

It was really a delight and a great honour for us to be part of this great event that has become increasingly popular,” AGS Malaysia Branch Manager, Cyril Quenneville said. We look forward to continuing the relationship with the event organisers and be part of more future events.

Young athletes receive close attention at the training centre which has proven to bear fruits as the under 16 cadet team currently plays in the national division.

The cadet team is currently enjoying a very successful season last year, winning all of their games. The team is now sponsored by AGS Nantes and boasts a new AGS-branded shirt.

We wish the young Nantes team a remarkable season in 2019!

AGS Singapore had a lot of fun and look forward to similar events within the French community in Singapore!

The AGS branch in Malabo sponsored a total of 3400 AGS branded practice golf balls for the hotel’s golf course. Golfers will also be welcomed by a 14 x 3 meter AGS banner which is installed at the first hole of the course.

The 18-hole golf course, which is set by the sea among tropical foliage and native ceiba trees, hosts on average one tournament per month.

AGS Malabo branch manager, Thierry Stalin, is already in talks to establish a new partnership – this time with the French cultural centre.

The show was organised by the Alliance Française, a world-wide non-profit organisation, devoted to promoting the French language and Francophone culture. It aimed to bring together French and African cultures, and attendees were treated to a spectacular fashion show and a variety of culinary delicacies.

Young designers displayed their collections at the fashion show. The show granted young designers and chefs a platform to unveil their collections and show off their cooking skills. It featured everything from glamorous garments, ready-to-wear pieces and the latest developments in the world of West African fashion.

The West African Food and Fashion Show affords young designers the opportunity to dazzle audiences with their fresh ideas. Through this initiative, AGS Botswana supported young, local designers and chefs from the West African region.

Social diversity through the Delhi Youth League

In New Delhi, Payal Singh, Manager of AGS Movers India, has chosen to sponsor the Delhi Youth League, an organisation that aims to develop soccer among young people aged 6 to 19, from all social, cultural and religious origins. With the motto “the best teaching is the game itself”, the Delhi Youth League brings together children from underprivileged backgrounds supported by NGOs who play for free, as well as students from international, public and private schools who pay to play. Through soccer, children discover teammates that they would never have encountered in their everyday lives. In addition, every week during the season from September to April, budding players participate in matches and learn the discipline and rules that govern the competition.
 

AGS presents the Most Valuable Player of the Year Award

Throughout the year, following every match, each coach selects the “Most Valuable Player” (MVP) of the match in the opposing team. The MVP is not necessarily the one who scored the most goals, but the one who contributed most effectively to the team’s performance. At each game, AGS offers a soccer ball to both players. On 27 May, the league recognised, in each age group, those who had been designated MVP most often during the year. AGS sponsored this award and Payal Singh was there to present the award at the ceremony at the British School in New Delhi.

Established in 2012, the league has experienced a growing enthusiasm as evidenced by the 1000 youths playing across six age groups during the 2016-17 season. Thanks to soccer and the values associated with sport, the league offers young people from very different backgrounds, opportunities to express themselves, to better understand each other and to become agents of social change.

Six age groups were rewarded:
Under 7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U19 with AGS India Manager, Payal Singh.  

Over the 2 days, about 60 French-Belgian companies, craftsmen and designers introduced more than 8000 visitors to the passion of their jobs, expertise and services, particularly in the field of gastronomy and fashion.

As a French-owned company, AGS Coussaert is also passionate about French culture and supporting local community events. The team offered a friendly welcome and focused on introducing the many visitors to its secure storage services. This year, the focus was on the new fully automated warehouse. The modernism and technological advances in terms of storage put in place by AGS Coussaert had clearly impressed the many visitors.

The mild weather and an easy-going atmosphere contributed to making this third year of The French Weekend a complete success. AGS Coussaert had the opportunity to meet with its existing clients as well as to build up new contacts. We are proud to be highly renowned among the large foreign community living in Brussels for our international removals and secure secure storage services.

The event has become a key part of the social calendar for the foreign and local community living in Uccle, and the AGS Coussaert team is delighted to already confirm its participation in the 2017 edition!

After last year’s roaring success, AGS Movers Singapore was excited to get involved in the event again. The event, which took place on 14 May 2016, marked AGS Singapore’s fifth year of participation. The branch also enjoyed a strong presence at the event, which was hosted on Castle Beach.

Andrew Argent, the founder of League5 Academy, is a semi-professional football player and has worked with great sports legends including Zinedine Zidane and Tony Parker. Andrew believes sports can unite people from all cultural backgrounds and can bring families closer together.

The Academy offered youngsters training once a week from June to September with professional trainers. The initial target was to reach a maximum of 30 children, however, interest in the event escalated quickly and almost 100 participants joined. In addition to the weekly training sessions, two successful summer camps were also organised and excitedly attended.

AGS Prague will continue to sponsor this initiative and supply goodie bags, filled with both educational and extracurricular material, to the young football stars.

The French International Internship Programme (VIE or Volontariat International en Entreprise), enables students and young graduates seeking employment, an internship opportunity at a French-based company overseas, for a period of six to 24 months.

To take part in the VIE Grand Prix Hong Kong 2016, candidates had to produce a written document or video, showing their involvement in the company and illustrating what the programme represents to them, both personally and professionally. They also had to answer the following question: “How should the image of France in Hong Kong be effectively promoted, especially in one of these five priority subject areas: health, sustainable city, food processing, new technologies and tourism?” Four prizes were given including: SMEs, Major Groups, Bank and Finance Sector, and the Coup de cœur (Judges’ Choice) award.

AGS Movers Hong Kong participated in this event both as an official sponsor, offering an air parcel service coupon up to HK$ 1500 to each one of the four winners, and as an organiser. Grégory Seitz, AGS Hong Kong Branch Manager and French Foreign Trade Advisor, was also a judge on the selection panel. Appointed as a French Foreign Trade Advisor in 2013, Grégory Seitz is involved in numerous activities concerning French economic interests internationally.

“I’m always eager to bring my expertise of international relocation and logistics to the French business community in Hong Kong,” Gregory said.

It was this natural for Gregory to actively engage in the Grand Prix which seeks to reward young talent.

“With AGS being a company that gives interns opportunities within its own network, it was important to me to play an active role in the organisation of this event. Being on the judging panel enabled me to realise the potential of young French people.”

This international event offered an exceptional opportunity to meet influential personalities from large companies and the business world in general, and allowed young graduates the chance to develop a network of useful contacts as they begin their professional careers. We hope that the four winners will take full advantage of it.

– The Bank and Finance Sector Prize was awarded to Nassima Benziane, from Natixis
